Fearless Puppy on American Road has an
entertainment value that will prove enjoyable to all readers, but its tone
can be a little rugged at times. Many of our fellow Earthlings have been
conditioned to receive the majority of their information from unreliable
sources—most notably, TV dramas and the so-called
"News." Fearless Puppy,
through its unique style, attempts to place some degree of Buddhist, Native
American, ecological, etc., information within a framework that most
Americans will be able to relate to. The book is a little rough
and tumble. If anyone should find the language, occasional harshness of
honesty, humor, or drama offensive—we apologize.
We hope that every
reader will be able to enjoy and gain something from this little story, and
appreciate the Puppy's need for straightforwardness. Sometimes honest and
potent are more important than pretty and polite.
Main Purpose
The Main Purpose of Fearless Puppy and
The Dog Soldier Trilogy of Books is to establish permanent funding
sources to be used for sponsoring the physical care and education of what is
hoped will be an increasing number of wisdom professionals. This is outlined
well enough in the book's introduction, but here is a more specific example
of how the project will work.
The first substantial profits
from book sales will be used to build hotel/motel type guesthouses near
Temples in Asia. The money raised from travelers patronizing these guest
houses will perpetually support Monk and Nun students. The guesthouses will
be built Westerner-friendly (guaranteed good water, A/C, and such).
Besides the main purpose of
raising money for Monk/Nun sponsorships, it is hoped that these guest houses
will also facilitate opportunities to come meet and learn from Asian leaders
within an authentic Asian cultural setting - and with much greater
frequency. The stay would be comfortable for Western students while
providing funding to support the care and education of existing and
(especially within the framework of this project's goals) future wisdom
professionals. The guesthouses will be open to local and international
travelers year 'round in order to most efficiently achieve this objective
(raise as much $ as possible).
These motel/hotel type
facilities should also succeed in employing local builders and workers, and
in improving the tourist trade and local economies of the areas they are in.
All these ancillary benefits
are lovely, but our main goal is to make a 1% increase in the number of
wisdom professionals world-wide financially viable through the efforts of
this project.

Help?
Your assistance is vital to the success of this
project. Fearless Puppy on American Road is not being sent to agents
or publishers. Avoiding the usual industry percentage takes will maximize
the profit from each book sold. This is grass roots at its best. Our advertising budget is $0. We believe that the common
concern of our friends will accomplish the universally beneficial goal. If
you enjoy reading the book and are in accord with Fearless Puppy’s purpose,
please consider the following possibilities, as well as any creative options
you can come up with yourself.
1. Do you know of any positively motivated organizations who
would want to receive copies of the book at a discount, in order to raise
funds for their own group while assisting our effort?
2. Do you know of any empathetic retail outlets
that might carry the book? They needn't be bookstores! I have
books in health food stores, bagel shops, and many other friendly places!
3. Would you send an announcement of the
book/project to the people on your Email/Myspace/Facebook/etc. lists? (Should you care
to do this, but don't really want to write the announcement, I have a sample
ready that I can forward to you.)
4. If you have any friends who
would enjoy the book,
Fearless Puppy accomplishes many purposes as a singular gift!
